This wine is made from a west facing vineyard, where Tamás is working on old-vines. The soil is stony and very steep, that is felt on the wine. Spontaneous fermentation. Aged in 500l old casks for 9 months. Full complexity in our mouth. The saltiness and minerality combined with fresh peach, apple and citrus notes. Yet there is a creaminess in it, that makes the harsh mineral notes very likeable. The wine is backed up with a pleasant acidity and a very long length. Very ageable wine! Great choice near cheeses, fish dishes, or white meats.
Tamás Kis
is one of the youngest winemakers on the Somló volcanic hill. After his viticulture diploma in Eger and his work at St. Andrea In 2010 Tamás Kis acquired a small property in the Hungarian wine region Somló.

, located on an extinct volcano in the western Hungarian lowlands, is Hungary's smallest wine region, famous for its volcanic soils and for its distinctive wines (especially the
Juhfark
), which are distinguished by their unmistakable characteristics. Here he began his love affair with the magic hill. In 2015 Tamás became the first and only winemaker Somlós to become a member of the Hungarian winegrowers' association "Junibor", which unites the best winemakers in the country. Today Tamás produces organic wines from his small winery, which consists of vines that are between 8 and 50+ years old. The soil is rich in black basalt; Loess with clay and sand.
