"Weirdly, this smells like cherryade! More cherry on the palate. But spicy, too! Touch of star anise. Pink peppercorns. Pink Lady apples. Juicy dried pears. Even a (juicy) prune note. There is so much sweet, ripe stone fruit in the mouth that I almost missed the stone-dust minerality lingering in the framework and finish of the wine. Drinking this wine now, you’d think it was a mouthful of fun fruitiness, but I think that would be a big mistake. There is seriously interesting complexity here under the bounce of fruit, which is only going to start coming through in a couple of years. Please don’t drink this wine now!
