Bodri's red QV Faluhely selection recently won the Grand Gold Medal with three other reds and was voted Hungary's "Best Red Wine" at the 2019 National Wine Competition in Kecskemét. In contrast to many other wine competitions, there is actually a considerable number, also renowned, participants behind it. After all, the organizing National Council of wine communities in Hungary could muster 262 participating wineries with over 900 individual wines, of which at least 292 red.
And indeed, this wine has its own, yet familiar, it offers the best Hungary in the glass and also weighs the Western European taste. The Cuvee from Kékfrankos (= Blaufränkisch) (the Hungarian in the drop with fascinating, red-luminescent fruitiness!) Goes with the two Bordeaux varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon a fascinating threesome! Bright, sparkling dark red, aromas of red and black currants, ripe sour cherries, blueberries, balanced tannins, fine fruit acidity, herbs, persistent finish. The strength of this selection is probably the balance of power and elegance, of a tight structure and flattering of the fruit. The fact that this wine has now been awarded an award helps to make it better known; He has quality anyway.
